Level 1 IT Support Professional

Job Description

We are looking for a Level I IT Support Professional who is a highly-motivated team player with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate should also be a highly energetic person with a thirst for knowledge, a level-headed demeanor, and a love of technology.

This role will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers (both by phone and on-site at their offices in the tri-state area). If you are motivated to learn and grow your IT skills and expose yourself to a wide range of technologies, we are happy to provide you with training to take your career further.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting our client's issues related to both Hardware and Software, including general Help-desk administration, monitoring and reporting
  • Limited administration and support of Microsoft operating systems & office applications, acting as the external supplier liaison to help resolve internal problems; troubleshooting of connectivity issues
  • Monitoring and acting on infrastructure reporting tools
  • Customer Relationship management

Qualifications

Required:

We believe that supporting the IT needs of our customers is a craft, and the successful applicant will possess the following tool kit.

  • Proven experience (at least 1-2 years) in the field
  • Ideally, MCP certified or working towards certification. CompTIA A+/N+ a positive.

Proficiency in the following:

  • Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Microsoft Windows for desktop
  • Active Directory
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • HP, Dell, Desktop, Laptops, Printers and Scanners
  • Basic Network Troubleshooting - TCP/IP and general WAN/LAN troubleshooting
  • Mac OSX as well as Apple and Dell hardware a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate competence in desktop/end-user support, understanding what it means to work within contracted Service Levels and provide excellent customer service to users
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • Ability to solve practical problems
